4 ways to become a politician in India

Politics is one of the most lucrative careers in India. Need a logical proof? Come on! If you are such a logical person, you don’t qualify for politics in the first place.

In this post of mine, I will teach you how to become a politician in India. Not necessarily a successful politician.

There are basically four methods:

1. Down to top method
2. Top to down method
3. Go with the flow or sudden emergence method
4. Go against the flow method

1. Down to top method:

This is the most difficult method of all and takes quite a long time. The success rate is also quite low. But once you make it, you make a brand for yourself and everything seems to fall in perfect places and you grow into a matured politician.

You start with your neighborhood. You work really hard at your community until people start to notice you. Once they recognize your hard work, they start coming to you to help them solving problems, and in order to solve their problems, you need to talk with different people and make numerous connections.

Then, you need to be associated with a political party with whose ideology you can relate to and start gathering support for the party. You help someone to get votes for a seat for some time, and then if you work really hard, you will get a ticket from the party to fight from the same seat and go on climbing the ladders one after another until you are a national leader or a satisfied politician.

Example of a person who have tried and succeeded this method is Narendra Modi who started as an RSS activist to the Prime Ministers’ seat.

2. Top to down Method:

To try this method, you already need to have a member of your family who is well established in politics.

In this method, relatives of high-ranking politicians are introduced to the political scenario irrespective of their capabilities and eligibility.

The most beautiful part of the method is that you neither need any experience and maturity to become a politician nor a respectful educational qualification. You can just jump into it.

Example of a person who have tried and succeeded this method is Rahul Gandhi whose sole serious qualification is that he is of the great Gandhi family and 9th standard pass Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, son of Lalu Prasad Yadav.

3. Go with the flow or sudden emergence method:

This is the fastest method of becoming a politician and also is quite successful a hack. Yes, you will need to see some hard times initially, but once you pass that phase, dude, you are on.

To try this method, you first need to join a movement taking place in the country. The bigger the better. Now, scream, shout and speak and get as much exposure as possible and overnight media will make you a household name.

Now, when the movement dies out, you can join any political party or make your own and fight elections. Viola, you are done.

Some who made it big through this technique include Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Lalu Prasad Yadav.

4. Go against the flow method

What if you are too lazy to start from the bottom? Too unfortunate to have a handsome surname like Gandhi or Yadav? You run in the opposite direction.

To apply this method, you need to become a famous cricketer. Become a famous actor. Become a famous tree. A famous cockroach. A famous piece of shit. Just make sure you are famous. Then, suddenly, steer away from there and crash into politics. Viola, you are done.

Examples who tried and succeeded in this method include Hema Malini, Smriti Irani, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore etc.
